A baby's birth must be registered within 42 days from the date of birth.
The birth must be registered in the registration district in which it occurred.
If your baby was born outside of the district of the Isles of Scilly, for instance in Cornwall, you can still give the details in person to the Registrar on the islands who will then send a declaration to the district responsible for recording the birth.
For further information you can view or download our leaflet by simply clicking on it.
To make an appointment to register a birth on the Isles of Scilly please contact the Registrar on 01720 424 501 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Register Office is open from 12.00 to 13.30 on Tuesdays or 10.30 to 12.00 on Thursdays.
