The Isles of Scilly Children’s Centre organises a range of exciting and popular activities for children under five, attended with their parents or carers. It is located on St Mary’s but it also organises regular outreach services across the other islands.
Typical organised activities include:
- Play sessions (including particular sessions for Early Years Children with special needs)
- Parent & Toddler Sessions
- Toy Library including sensory equipment
The Children’s Centre is also available to parents and carers seeking a range of information and advice about young children.
There is parent support in the form of an ABC club including specialist training opportunities, together with advice about how access funding can help off-island families attend these sessions.
The children's centre can also provide information for parents looking to return to work or those seeking help with benefits.
