Health Services

There is one Health Centre on the Isles of Scilly, which houses a GP surgery, a pharmacy and an optometrist offering a gateway to a wide range of health related advice and guidance and therapies.

The St. Mary's Hospital is a GP led hospital and provides a range of Accident and Emergency, and care services.  Dental services are also available at the at the St. Mary's Hospital site.

To register at the Health Centre and/or make an appointment to see a GP, Optometrist or Practice Nurse, call 01720 422 628. You can contact the dental surgery on 01720 422 694

For Urgent Out of Hours, you are advised to call 01720 422 628 (rather than NHS111, although this does work; it just takes longer!).  For all healthcare emergencies, dial 999.

If you are pregnant you will be able to access a range of help and support on the Islands.

As your child grows and develops they may require additional specific health support from a range of professionals based on the mainland and on the Isles of Scilly.

Targeted health services for young adults are organised separately to those for children and young people up to 18 years old.
