Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks (formerly CRB checks) help employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups by revealing any relevant criminal history.

The Council of the Isles of Scilly is a DBS umbrella body which means we can apply for DBS checks on behalf of other organisations. Cost details, including charges made by the DBS itself, are given in the table below.
