Officer: Children's Social Worker

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of children and their families?

About Us

The beautiful Isles of Scilly is set 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. With stunning beaches, huge, unpolluted, starry skies, endless outdoor activities and a friendly community you will experience a whole new way of life. Yet set within this beautiful world are some children and families who need help and support to get the most out of life’s opportunities. We are passionate about providing every child with the best start in life and this is your chance to make a difference.

About You

As a qualified Social Worker, you will excel in this small supportive team if you are a can-do and collaborative team-player with outstanding communication skills. You will have significant experience of working with children in need of help and protection across the continuum of need. You will have experience of strengths based practice and ideally Signs of Safety. You will play an integral role in an integrated and collaborative partnership which has a commitment to provide quality services on a preventative basis, with a focus on building strong relationships with children and their families.

What We Offer

Our progressive, early help approach to helping children, young people and their wider families is something that we are immensely proud of.  We were rated ‘Good’ in Ofsted’s Single Inspection in 2016.  Offering a truly supportive and friendly team environment to our staff with manageable caseloads and access to regular reflective supervision we seek to support each other every single day. Job satisfaction is guaranteed – because you will be making a difference, helping families to help themselves – and you will also benefit from a competitive package and a variety of innovative training and development opportunities.
