Operative: Waste and Recycling (6 months)

Are you a self-motivated individual? Do you work well as part of a team? The Council of the Isles of Scilly are looking to recruit a Waste and Recycling Operative.

You will be part of the team responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Council’s waste management services. The role is flexible to cover all areas of waste management, including collection, disposal, reduction, re-use and recycling. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with the public, have an understanding of health and safety regulations, COSHH and be able to prioritise daily duties. Experience and qualifications in the operation of heavy goods vehicles would be an advantage.
