Airport & Roads Improvements - Update from Lagan Construction

ESSENTIAL WORKS UPDATE - MONDAY 21ST JULY

In order to supplement aggregate deliveries for both these projects, the sister vessel to our usual boat called the MV River Martin has arrived in St Mary’s and will remain in the roads until Monday afternoon on 21st July.

The offloading is scheduled to commence on Monday 21st July at 6pm. Empty tractors and trailers and the wheeled excavator will proceed through the town from about 5pm onwards so that they can be ready at the start time.

The quay is being made available to us until about 6am on Tuesday morning. It is likely that we will need to continue offloading on a second night which we anticipate to be Tuesday night but this needs to be confirmed with the Harbour Master. We will advise you on final arrangements when made. The route will be the same as on previous occasions and starts at the Quay, via Hugh Street, Church Street, the Old School, Telegraph Road, Parting Carn Farm and to the site. The return journey will be the same with the empty trailers passing along the Strand rather than Church Street.

Lagan Construction Ltd sincerely apologises for any disturbance this essential operation causes and thanks you in advance for your continuing co-operation and forbearance. Please contact us on 07825 167569 if there are any problems during this work.
