Following the works completed on Tuesday preparation works will be completed today in the Well Cross area in front of the Methodist Church. Also limited planing works will be done on the Lower Strand between the Scillonian Club and the Town Hall. Also the section of road outside Sports Mode will be prepared.
After preparation of these areas resurfacing will be done. It is anticpated that the area of Well Cross will be ready first then followed by the Lower Strand area. After completion of resurfacing of these areas the asphalt team will move to the airport.
Route advice
As the areas where work will take place today are narrow full road closures will be implemented. Please do not use the route via the Strand to come into town as you will find the exit blocked although this road may be used for access to properties along it.For any access to houses, flats and businesses along the affected routes please ask any of the workforce or their supervisor and they will help you get to your destination either by moving vehicles on footpaths or carrying bags and belongings.
