Stress in the workplace

Workplaces can help to promote resilience in their employees and they also have an important role to play in promoting mental well-being. They not only help develop an individual’s self-esteem and sense of identity but also help to provide a sense of fulfilment and opportunities for social interaction.

However when the pressure of work exceeds an employee’s ability to cope it can have negative effects on their mental health, particularly in the form of stress.

This training looks at the themes that contribute to stress and explores ways that employees can manage stress within the workplace for themselves and their colleagues.
