Customer Services Assistant

Do you enjoy working with members of the public?  Do you have excellent communication skills?  Do you stay calm when working in a busy environment?

We are looking for someone to join our Customer Hub team which is part of the wider Learning, Leisure and Customer Services team which consists of Active Scilly, Learn Scilly and the library.

This role is based at the Carn Gwaval Wellbeing Centre and St Mary’s Library and will require working some shifts during evenings and weekends.

The key areas relating to this post are:

• to act as the first point of contact and sign posting service for visitors and customers of the Council of the Isles of Scilly

• to be responsible for taking all payments

• receptionist and administrator for the library, learning and leisure services

The role will involve liaising with colleagues and members of the public over the phone, email and face-to-face, therefore excellent customer service, communication and administration skills are essential. You will often be the first point of contact and will make a real difference to our customers’ experience.
