Do you want and want to play a key role in protecting marine life and fisheries on the Isles of Scilly?
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive individual to be our new Fisheries Research Assistant, on a 6 month fixed term contract between, April and November, within the Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority (IFCA).
In this hands-on role, you’ll crew our IFCA RIB and support vital research and compliance monitoring activities. You’ll also take the lead in organising and conducting fisheries data collection, playing a key role in safeguarding the future of our local marine environment.

To be a success in this role you will have previous experience working in and around boating and marine environments as well as:
Relevant certificates such as VHF, STCW and MCA ENG1 or ML5 medical would be preferred.
