Project Activator - Move Scilly

The Council of the Isles of Scilly is recruiting for a temporary 'Move Scilly' Project Activator on a fixed term until 31st December 20201. You will be contributing to the successful delivery of the exciting three-year Sport England funded project, 'Move Scilly'. As part of this role you will be planning and helping to deliver short 'kick start' programmes of activity and weekly sports or swimming sessions. The main focus of this role will be to increase activity levels of all family members in a range of formal and informal settings (at Active Scilly facilities and in the community).

The successful postholder will work to mentor participants, encourage participation in virtual events and activities, contribute to social media campaigns and undertake project data management.

The ideal candidate will be someone with strong motivation and understanding of activities that promote healthy living, an awareness of the barriers that individuals may face, and experience of working with all ages of the community.

The role will require circa 10-15 hours per week
