Work to redevelop the Porthmellon Waste Management Site has been slightly delayed due to unsuitable ground conditions. The Council, Technical Waste Advisors (RPS), and Wright Construction Ltd are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Due to these unexpected delays it is likely that the site will continue to remain closed for the acceptance of Household waste on Tuesday afternoons. Household waste can, however, continue to be disposed of on Thursday afternoons. The Council will keep the community updated as soon as operations change.
As re-development work continues on site the areas for waste acceptance will be subject to change. Please speak to a Waste & Recycling Operative on site to advise you on where to place your materials.
