The Met Office have issued a Yellow Alert of Wind valid from 21:00 on Thursday 11 December until 18:00 on Friday 12 December 2014.
There is the potential for gales or severe gales to develop across much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland during Thursday night and into Friday, and then lasting for much of the day, before slowly easing from the west during the afternoon and into the evening.
