Update on avian influenza prevention zones

Defra have produced guidance on the new requirements contained in the replacement Avian Influenza Prevention Zone that will be in force from 28 February 2017 - see attached PDF. It applies to all keepers of poultry and captive birds from that date until 30 April 2017 unless the Secretary of State is of the view that it can be amended before then. The Isles of Scilly is outside the higher risk areas, however certain restrictions still apply and these are detailed in the table on page 4 of the document.
