Mainland travel considerations

With half term holidays approaching, we realise many of you will be considering going away. If you are thinking of travelling, it's worth making sure you have provisions in place in case you need to self-isolate away from home. Currently, the self-isolation rules mean that if you develop COVID-19 symptoms, test positive, or are identified as a contact of a positive case, you will need to self-isolate wherever you are staying and should not attempt to travel.

To access coronavirus testing whilst on the mainland, call 119 or visit: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

You should avoid travelling to any part of the country which is subject to a ‘very high’ local COVID alert level. You can check the local COVID alert level for different areas by visiting the following website: https://www.gov.uk/find-coronavirus-local-restrictions

Please be aware that the safer travel guidance for passengers has also been updated in light of the new 3-tier system: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-safer-travel-guidance-f...

If you're away from home, suffering hardship and finding it difficult to manage the situation yourself, please email keepscillysafe@scilly.gov.uk and we will see how we might be able to help.
