In July 2021, the Council of the Isles of Scilly adopted the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Environmental Growth Strategy as a shared long-term framework for preserving, enhancing the natural environment of the Islands.
Adoption of the Strategy ensures the Council takes a new leadership role in response to safeguarding nature and in partnership with others, tackles environmental challenges through nature-based interventions.
The Environmental Growth Strategy has been co-developed with the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership and Cornwall Council in recognition that the scale of the challenge requires collaboration with local partners including Government agencies, Wildlife Trusts, and others.
