Aisling Khan, Strategic Director for People and Communities (Director of Children’s Services and Director of Adult Social Services) will be leaving her post at the Council of the Isles of Scilly on 3 July 2023.
Aisling joined the Local Authority in 2005 and has been involved in a number of achievements during 18 years of service. Most recently she helped shape a bid to Government for an integrated health and social care hub. She has also supported an inspection of the Isles of Scilly Fire and Rescue Service (by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services) and an inspection of provision for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) (by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills). Aisling was also a key member of the Council’s team that helped protect the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Council will now begin the process of recruiting to the position.
