We’re delighted to announce that Milena Fallows is now undertaking the role of ‘Grants Facilitator’ for the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Hub team that is encouraging applications for Good Growth grants from island businesses.

You can find information about the business grants on offer on the Growth Hub website. Whilst we have previously alerted business owners on Scilly to the Shared Prosperity funding, we appreciate that it can be hard to keep up with the various funding rounds and application criteria.

This new island-based grants facilitator role is intended to make it less daunting for people on Scilly to apply for Growth Hub funding pots. If you think your business could benefit from a grant, or you would just like some further information about the funding available, don’t hesitate to email Mimi at milena.fallows@scilly.gov.uk to express your interest or arrange a chat.

Cllr Sims, Lead Member for Economy, Tourism and Transport said: “I’m really pleased that Mimi has been appointed to this role. Her experience leading on the Council’s Voucher Scheme means that she already has a firm understanding of the needs of businesses on the islands and that she is ideally placed to help people running businesses on Scilly who may benefit from Growth Hub grants. I encourage anyone who thinks their business could benefit from grant funding to get in touch with Mimi so she can assist you with the process of making a grant application, support you to develop your project and explain how to make grant claims.”

The Growth Hub is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme. The aim is to realise the potential of businesses in the region and to make the economy more resilient, more equal and more prosperous.
