The Council of the Isles of Scilly gives notice that it has revised its Statement of Gambling Principles. This was agreed by resolution of Members at the Council meeting of 15 January 2019.
You can view the new Statement of Gambling Principles on this page[1], or at the offices of the licensing department where you can request a paper copy.
As such, the current Statement of Gambling Principles remains in force for a period of four weeks, to 11 February 2019, on which day the revised Statement of Gambling Principles will take effect.
This notice has been published on the authority website, and will also be displayed on a notice board of the authority.
This notice is published in accordance with the guidance issued by the Minister for Sport in para’s 7.6-7.8 of the Explanatory Memorandum to the Gambling Act 2005 (Licensing Authority Policy Statement) (England and Wales) Regulations 2006[2].

Our draft Statement of Gambling Policy 2019-2022 is now available by clicking on the document shown on this webpage and we welcome your comments on the changes we are proposing to make.
The Council of the Isles of Scilly is the Licensing Authority under the Gambling Act 2005. Section 349 of the Act requires that all Licensing Authorities prepare, consult and publish a Statement of Licensing Policy which will be used when exercising its licensing functions.
Before any revision of this Statement of Gambling Policy is published, the Authority must carry out a full consultation - the consultation period is from 12 November 2018 to 5 December 2018. At the end of the consultation period any comments received will be considered and the Policy will be amended as necessary before being approved by Full Council.
All responses to this consultation will be published in full when the final version of the draft policy is presented to council. All identifiable information will be removed before publication.
