Business Support Officer - Children and Families Service

Would you like to be part of a team delivering the future together for our Island’s children?

We are building something great for our children and families and know that to do this well we need brilliant and dedicated business support staff to support the smart and efficient running of the whole service.

As Business Support in Children’s Services, no two days are ever quite the same—but every day is meaningful. You’ll start your morning checking the social care inboxes, reviewing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring that frontline teams have the resources they need to support children and families.

You’ll be the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly managing budgets, processing invoices, updating systems, and solving problems before anyone even notices them. And the best part? You’re never doing it alone. You are surrounded by a brilliant, friendly team that’s always ready to pitch in, share a joke, and celebrate wins big and small.

You’ll liaise with social workers, team managers, and external partners both here on Scilly and on the mainland, acting as the vital link that keeps communication flowing. Whether you're organising training sessions, handling sensitive information with care, or responding to urgent requests, your attention to detail and proactive approach make a real difference.

If you love being organised, enjoy variety in your day, and want to be part of a team that’s passionate about making a difference and having fun while doing it, this could be your perfect next step.’
