[UPDATE 14/02/2025: the age range for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Carreg Dhu Gardens Wildlife Hunt on Tuesday 18 February has been increased. It is now open to school years 1-6.]
Our Strengthening Families team has pulled together a list of activities being run by the Council for young people and families over the half term break. The activities will take place from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2025 - and some of them are free!
You can find a list of these activities, which age groups they are open to, how much they cost and which service is leading the session in the table below. Please be aware that spaces are limited for some sessions.

Tues 18 Feb | 9.15am - 12pm - Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Carreg Dhu Gardens Wildlife Hunt. FREE ACTIVITY for school years 1-6 Booking required: 20 places available. Join Jaclyn from the RSPB for a wildlife hunt around Carreg Dhu Gardens looking for birds and mammals, including the Scilly shrew! Meet at the Carreg Dhu Gardens entrance and collect your child from the same entrance at 12pm. Dress in weather appropriate clothing as we will be outside for a number of hours. Please pack a snack for your child to have mid-morning. Hot chocolate will be provided for all children. Children's Services and RSPB |
1pm - 3.30pm - Family Multisports Session in the Sports Hall Child prices: £4.00 Active Scilly members, £5.50 non-members. Pay on the door. There is no charge for adults for these sessions. Everybody's welcome to come along to the RNLI station by Town Beach to test your ropes knowledge, try out the kit and see if you have what it takes to become an RNLI volunteer one day!
