The registration system has changed. Even if you were registered in the past, you may need to register again now.
Many people will have received correspondence over the last 6 months confirming registration on the new system or requesting further information.

It is important that you check your entitlement to vote as the deadline to register to vote in the forthcoming general election is 20 April 2015.
If you are not registered, you can do so using the form at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote; this should take around 5 minutes to complete and you will need your National Insurance number. Alternatively, you can also register by post by filling out an individual registration form and returning it to:
