The Council of the Isles of Scilly are pleased to announce that the contract to operate the popular Buzza Bus service has been awarded to Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly.
Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly was established in 1972 (as Age Concern Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly) and is the leading independent charity in the region working to improve the wellbeing of people in later life. They have operated the service since its inception in October 2010 and the new contract will run from 1st October 2014 until 1st April 2017.
The Buzza Bus is available to all island residents and visitors over 60 and also to anyone with mobility problems. Although based on St Mary's, the service provides an excellent link for off-islanders who need to get to the airport or health centre from the quay.
You must register first to use the service and more information and operating hours can be found here.
