Change of official address for the Council of the Isles of Scilly

The official address for the Council of the Isles of Scilly has been changed to:

Council of the Isles of Scilly
Old Wesleyan Chapel
Garrison Lane
St Mary's
Isles of Scilly
TR21 0JD

Councillors formally approved this change at Full Council in light of the fact that the Old Wesleyan Chapel has been the principal building for formal civic activities since the Town Hall was vacated to allow for its redevelopment as a Cultural Centre and Museum. As works are well underway on the new Cultural Centre and Museum to enable it to be inhabited and managed by a new organisation, there is now a need to fully implement this change.

Please be assured that arrangements are already in place for any post sent to the Council at the Town Hall address to be redirected.

Hand-delivered mail

All post addressed to the Council at the new official address above will be received by the Council, but you should continue to drop any hand-delivered mail off at the Council’s reception points at either Carn Gwaval or St Mary’s Library, as there are no facilities to receive or handle correspondence at the Old Wesleyan Chapel.

There will be a period of transition as amendments are made to the website and all of our document templates and forms. We anticipate changes to documents could take a few weeks, as amendments will need to be made across all services (including those provided on our behalf by Cornwall Council).

If you have any concerns about this change, or if you notice the old Town Hall address on any of our documents or correspondence from February 2026 onwards, please email enquiries@scilly.gov.uk

Thank you in advance for your patience and assistance as we make this change.
