The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced that planning application fees will increase from Tuesday 1 April 2025.
Full details about the forthcoming fees can be found in the Planning Portal Guide to the Fees for Planning Applications in England. All fee values have been increased by 1.7% and then rounded to the nearest pound, unless otherwise indicated in the list of amendments.
Changes to commonly used applications include:
- Householder and Full (to alter/extend a single dwellinghouse) - now £528.
- Change of Use (Full) - from £588.
- Removal, Variation or Discharge of Condition - from £86.
There continues to be no fee for Listed Building Consent and Tree Works Applications.
