Confirmation of Tresco public meeting details - 24 January 2024

The details for the Tresco public meeting (including budget discussion) have now been confirmed as follows:

Tresco
Wednesday, 24 January 2024, 2pm – 3.30pm at the Community Centre

This meeting follows public meetings on St Martin’s, Bryher, St Agnes and St Mary’s in December 2023 and is another opportunity for the Chairman, Vice Chairman and their fellow members of Council to speak to the community about current Council activity and future plans. Russell Ashman will be in attendance in his new role as Chief Executive. 

The community will also be invited to provide views on spending priorities for the coming financial year. A summary of the Council’s latest draft budget proposals can be viewed at the following link:

Printed copies will also be available at the venue on the day of the meeting.

If you would like to provide written feedback specifically on the budget proposals, please either:

  • email your comments to Councillor Frances Grottick, Lead Member for Finance, Governance, Risk and Performance at frances.grottick@scilly.gov.uk; or
  • deliver your comments to St Mary’s Library in a sealed envelope, marked for Councillor Grottick’s attention.

Please submit your comments by noon on Wednesday, 31 January 2024 to ensure they can be considered ahead of the budget being presented to Members at Full Council on 22 February 2024.
