We’re introducing fortnightly waste and recycling advice sessions in an effort to help everyone prepare for the waste changes coming into effect from March 2025.
The recently announced changes to waste containerisation and collection will affect both households and businesses that receive waste services from the Council and we want to make it easy to raise any questions or concerns in advance so we have a chance to address any potential issues.
We appreciate that these changes will affect different individuals and businesses in different ways, so the waste and recycling team is offering bookable slots every other Thursday from 11 April 2024 onwards in case the community would like to provide feedback or seek advice about the following, in person:
- the forthcoming changes to waste containerisation and collection
- commercial waste payments
- the wider waste management service
How to book a slot
Appointments of up to 20 minutes between 2pm and 4pm will be made available on every other Thursday from 11 April 2024 onwards. They will take place at the Porthmellon Enterprise Centre.
You can book a slot by emailing zerowaste@scilly.gov.uk or calling 01720 424450 and leaving a message. Please briefly outline what you would like to talk to us about so we can prepare to fully answer your question, and don’t forget to leave your details so we can get back to you to confirm your timeslot. If you are unable to attend in person, you can make an appointment for an online meeting.
