Getting tested for coronavirus on the Isles of Scilly

Did you know that you should self-isolate immediately and get a coronavirus test if you have 1 or more of the following symptoms:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

You should not request a coronavirus test if you do not have at least 1 of the symptoms above. However, as usual, you should consider whether you are well enough to leave your home.

To get a coronavirus test on Scilly you can either:

A) use the local (Devon) route by calling the Isles of Scilly Testing Helpline on 01626 204 950 or emailing d-ccg.devoncovid19testing@nhs.net.

OR

B) use the national route by visiting the government's self-referral testing page or calling 119.

Please note that option A is currently by far the quickest route and it is important not to wait to get a test if you have any of the symptoms associated with coronavirus. Public Health England will be made aware and advise you on the next steps.

Please remember that if you need to get a test on the Isles of Scilly, you MUST NOT visit the pharmacy, health centre or hospital on St Mary's as you may inadvertently spread the virus.

If you have any questions at all relating to coronavirus, don't hesitate to contact us at keepscillysafe@scilly.gov.uk.
