As part of a campaign to promote road safety on the Isles of Scilly and in order to prevent further damage to our pavements, we’re reiterating our plea to drivers to park all vehicles safely and considerately.
Whilst the Council of the Isles of Scilly is not empowered to enforce parking contraventions, anyone who regularly ignores the Highway Code and endangers or inconveniences other members of their community should be aware that we are now progressing a review of road traffic control measures in accordance with the report taken to Full Council in December 2025. We will update the community as this work develops.
We understand that everyone is busy and it can be easy to overlook the needs of others when parking in a hurry, but we hope we can rely on our fellow community members to pay attention to these reminders and make changes to their own behaviour if necessary.
