The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has completed a review of the data-handling practices of the Council of the Isles of Scilly in accordance with an earlier undertaking entered into by the Council on 21 August 2014.
We are pleased to announce that the review demonstrated that the Council has taken appropriate steps and put plans in place to address some of the requirements of the undertaking.
Further work is still required to fully implement all the agreed actions. The Council of the Isles of Scilly welcomes the ICO's findings and we will continue to work with the ICO to ensure that our data handling practices are strengthened still further.
