We are actively looking for local business community members to join the Islands Futures Board.
There is a new funding programme about to be launched, the Isles of Scilly Voucher scheme. This is a £1.36 million investment fund, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Financial support will be available for local businesses from a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £100,000.
The Islands Futures Board will be instrumental in appraising applications for this scheme, evaluating those whose project value exceeds £10,000 and awarding eligible funding support.
Once the Voucher Scheme is up and running, (expected to be early-mid April), the board would be expected to meet every quarter.
We are therefore looking for 2 members of the business community who would be interested in joining and supporting the groups aim to ‘prioritise economic growth opportunities’ on the islands.
