The Council of the Isles of Scilly submitted a new Isles of Scilly Local Plan to the Secretary of State on 30 September 2019 for examination in public. Public hearings took place between 21 January 2020 through to the 23 January 2020.
Following the close of the public hearings, the Inspector wrote to the Council advising what modifications are likely to be required in order for the plan to be found sound. These are called ‘Main Modifications’. A consultation is now taking place which invites the views of the community and interested parties on these specific changes to the new Local Plan.
Responses should be sent to the planning department and these will be considered by the Inspector before he prepares his final report on the Isles of Scilly Local Plan. Full details on the consultation and how to respond can be found at the following link:
This consultation is not an opportunity to restate previous representations, as these have already been considered as part of the examination. This is also not an opportunity to raise new objections to the submitted Local Plan. This consultation is purely on the modifications and it is only these which are available for comment.
