Notice of Council public meetings autumn 2025

The Chairman and Vice-Chairman, supported by their fellow Members of Council and senior officer colleagues, invite you to come and provide your feedback on current Council activity, ask questions about the issues which are important to you and share your ideas about how we can better meet the needs of the community as we develop our plans for the year ahead.

The details for each meeting can be found below. Please email council@scilly.gov.uk if you have any questions about accessing the meetings:

Tresco
Wednesday 1 October, 3pm – 4.30pm, Community Centre

Bryher
Wednesday 1 October, 5pm – 6.30pm, Community Centre

St Martin's
Monday 13 October, 5pm – 6.25pm, Island Hall

St Agnes
Thursday 2 October, 5pm – 6.30pm, Island Hall

St Mary's
Tuesday, 14 October, 5pm – 7pm, Old Wesleyan Chapel

Cllr Robert Francis, Chairman of Council, said: “Last year’s round of public meetings resulted in constructive discussions which prompted Council activity and led to continuous engagement on the issues raised throughout the year. These meetings are a great opportunity for Councillors to pass on the very latest news and listen to the community in a way which encourages an ongoing dialogue, so I really hope you will be able to you to join us at whichever meeting suits you best. Please help us spread the word and encourage your friends and family to come along.”

Summary of issues raised in the previous round of public meetings

Below is a summary of the topics of some of the questions which were asked during the previous round of public meetings in autumn 2024.
