We're holding a series of public meetings across the islands which everyone is welcome to attend. These meetings will allow for discussion on the Council’s latest draft budget proposals, and we want to hear your views on spending priorities for the coming financial year.
This is also an opportunity for the Chairman, Vice Chairman and their fellow members of Council to speak to the community about current Council activity and future plans. Our current Chief Executive, Paul Masters will also be in attendance, alongside Russell Ashman, the Council's Chief Finance Officer, who will be taking up the role of Chief Executive in January 2024, following Paul's retirement.
The details for the meeting are as follows:
St Martin's
Tuesday, 12 December, 11.30am - 1pm at the Island Hall
Bryher
Tuesday, 12 December, 2pm - 3.30pm at the Community Centre
St Agnes
Wednesday, 13 December, 2.00pm-3.30pm at the Island Hall
St Mary's
Thursday, 14 December, 2pm - 3.30pm at the Old Wesleyan Chapel
Tresco
This meeting will take place in January 2024. This news item will be updated when the details for the meeting have been confirmed.

- deliver your comments to St Mary’s Library in a sealed envelope, marked for Councillor Grottick’s attention.
Please submit your comments by noon on Wednesday, 31 January 2024 to ensure they can be considered ahead of the budget being presented to Members at Full Council on 22 February 2024.
