The Mermaid car park will be partially closed from Wednesday the 8th October. This is to allow the temporary storage of materials required to carry out essential repairs to the sea wall, damaged by storms last winter.
We anticipate that the lower 50% of the car park (from the sea wall side) will be required for storage and will be fenced off.
The repair works are likely to be completed within 4 weeks, dependent on tides and weather, and we would like to apologise for any disruption this may cause businesses and residents.
The car park will be restored to normal use as soon as is practically possible.
