Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, after 70 years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6 February 1952. Public celebrations will take place all over the country during the Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend (2 - 5 June 2022) and in the surrounding weeks.
To help everyone come together in celebration of The Queen’s historic reign, we have put together a summary of some of the activities we are aware are taking place on the islands in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Details are listed below.
Jubilee Trail
Dates: 23 May - 6 June 2022
Location: To Be Confirmed, St Mary’s
We will soon be laying a trail of crowns, decorated by children from the islands, around St Mary’s. The trail will be in place in the 2 weeks either side of the Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend and is an activity open to all ages.
You will need to complete an entry form and find all of the crowns in order to be entered into our prize draw!
Keep an eye on the Children’s Services Facebook page for more information.

You may also wish to help us celebrate in style and contribute to our theme by wearing some red, white and blue!
