Road Resurfacing Update - 11th June

Lagan Site at Parting Carn

The work being carried on Wednesday will be resurfacing of the road the road from Tremelethen Farm coming back towards Parting Carn junction (by the entrance to Lagan’s site) in the morning followed by the resurfacing of Pungies Lane by the duck pond in the afternoon.

At Porthcressa a couple of soft areas will be excavated and re-filled with a coarse stone mix so that they can be asphalted later. Planing works will be on Telegraph Road where the tie-ins will be planed out. These are located at the bend where the turn for Longstone Terrace leaves Telegraph Road and the other one will be just before Parting Carn junction (on the side away from town).

The section of upper Telegraph Road mentioned above will be resurfaced tomorrow.

Due to the narrowness of the road to Tremelethen Farm this will be closed while work is going on. Works are expected to start at approximately 9 am and the closure is expected to last until around 2 pm. Pungies Lane will also be closed during resurfacing in the afternoon – most likely from approximately 1 pm to 6 pm.

In general roads will be re-opened as soon as the works have been completed or if not complete then in the evening after work (between 6 and 7pm) for passage of vehicles in as much as practicable.

Please note that the programme can change due to weather and operational reasons but we do not anticipate any change in the short term works described.

Lagan Construction Ltd sincerely apologises for any disturbance during these works and thanks you in advance for your co-operation and forbearance.

Please contact us on 07825 167569 if there are any problems during this work.
