Roads Resurfacing Update

Top of Holy Vale awaiting resurfacing

Schedule of works for Carn Friars Lane and Holy Vale over the weekend.

Please be advised that works on Carn Friars Lane will commence today, Friday 5th September at around 9:00 am.

The resurfacing works will start from where the previously laid section ends at Tremelethen Farm and continue to Deep Point Corner near Normandy. Asphalt will be laid starting at Tremlethen Farm and the paver will continue towards Normandy i.e. in an anti-clockwise direction. It is intended that this section will be laid on Friday. The road will be re-opened in the evening.

On Saturday the section to be resurfaced will be from near Carn Vean to the junction for Holy Vale. The asphalt will be laid starting at the Carn Vean end and proceeding towards Holy Vale. The road will be re-opened in the evening.

On Sunday works will be on Holy Vale.

Traffic routes

Friday – all properties west of Normandy should use High Lane / Town Lane and Telegraph Road to access Hugh Town and the airport and vice versa.

Saturday – all properties west of Holy Vale should use High Lane / Town Lane and Telegraph Road to access Hugh Town and the airport and vice versa. All properties East of Carn Vean can access Hugh Town and the airport and vice versa using the recently resurfaced road via Tremelethen Farm.

Sunday – Access along Carn Friars Road should be unimpeded apart from our works traffic entering Holy Vale.
