Roads Resurfacing Update

Road resurfacing – Carn Friars Lane Normandy – Carn Vean Section

Please be advised that works on Carn Friars Lane will continue today, Tuesday 9th September at around 11:00 am.

The resurfacing works will fill in the gap between the previously laid sections ending at Normandy and Carn Vean. The works will start with preparation works followed in the early afternoon with resurfacing works. The paver will lay asphalt starting at Normandy and will continue towards Carn Vean i.e.working in an anti-clockwise direction. The road will be re-opened in the evening.

Traffic routes

All properties east of Normandy should use Carn Friars Lane via Tremelthen to access Hugh Town and the airport and vice versa.

All properties west of Carn Vean should use High Lane / Town Lane and Telegraph Road for access to Hugh Town and the airport and vice versa.

Access to and from the properties in the section where resurfacing will take place will either be via Telegraph Road and High Lane / Town Lane prior to resurfacing or after resurfacing via Normandy and Tremelethen.
