Scaffolding at Parade House from 1 October 2024

The contractors working on Parade House in Hugh Town, St Mary’s have confirmed that they are aiming to commence urgent work to the property on Tuesday 1 October 2024, if the weather allows. The work is expected to be completed before the end of October.

The first step will be to put scaffolding up outside the building. The road directly in front of the building will remain open while the scaffolding is being erected, but banksmen will implement a traffic management system until it is in place to ensure the safety of the public.

Once the scaffolding is in place, pedestrians will be able to walk under the scaffolding in order to remain on the pavement in front of the building.

Yesterday, we announced that the stretch of road in front of the Town Hall will be closed for up to 4 weeks from 14 October 2024. With this in mind, we ask that members of the public take particular care when accessing the centre of town when the scaffolding and traffic diversions are in place.

Thank you for your cooperation while the works are underway.
