The snow is here and our operational services team are applying salt to the following areas:
- Entrance of the airport
- Hospital and health centre
- School footpath
- Some of the main streets
Many surfaces are slippery so please take care whilst you’re out walking and driving.
The weather forecast looks particularly cold and windy for the islands over the next 2-3 days, with things set to turn milder by the weekend. In the meantime, during what is a very rare ice/snow weather event for the islands, please consider taking a couple of minutes to check on the welfare of any elderly or vulnerable neighbours.
