The Council of the Isles of Scilly is working to secure a long-term solution for can and glass recycling in Old Town. As a temporary measure, the Council’s Waste and Recycling team will be placing two containers in Old Town on the footpath area between Castle Cottages and Ennor Close, from Tuesday 16 June.
The containers will be in place between 10am and 3pm every Tuesday until a more permanent solution is found.
We are asking all residents in Old Town to help keep the area clean and tidy while the containers are on site and to report any problems to the Council as soon as possible. Waste & Recycling Operatives will also ensure that the area is free from debris when the containers are removed.
