The road between Starboard Light Cottage and the Mermaid Inn Car Park on St Mary’s will be closed on successive Sundays from 9 March 2025. This is to enable the full reconstruction of the temporarily repaired wall under Tregarthen’s Hotel.
Progress will be dependent on weather, but the contractor working for the hotel plans to undertake the work between approximately 8am and 6pm on these days, and we expect the road to be reopened by the end of March.
All road users and pedestrians are asked to pay attention to the safety signage which will be put in place, and adhere to the advice of the marshal who will direct traffic to and from St Mary’s Quay while the work is in progress.
All emergency services, taxis, haulage companies and the Harbour Master have been informed.
