Normandy Pool has been out of operation since the exhaust fan failed in November. A replacement fan has been sourced and delivered to the islands. The engineer was due to arrive on 10 December to replace the fan but unfortunately the flight was cancelled due to the weather. The next available date for the engineer to visit is Tuesday 7 January. We are sorry for this inconvenience but rest assured we have done all we can to rectify this situation
All being well the pool will open in time for the Swim School to recommence on Monday 13 January. We will of course keep you updated on this visit.
If you’re a regular pool user and missing your exercise then why not try one of the 17 classes Active Scilly have an offer at the Carn Gwaval Wellbeing Centre. Classes are held at various times of the day and to suit complete beginners through to those who are preparing for an endurance event.
The popular family event Santa Splash & Dash is taking place on Sunday 22 December - this year the chosen charity is The RNLI and the ladies from the lifeboat guild will be selling cakes and hot drinks at the finish on Old Town Beach. We very much look forward to seeing you there.
