Thank you to everyone who came to the Park House public meeting on Tuesday 21 March 2017. The turnout for the meeting was amazing and it was good to see such a high level of engagement.
Following the meeting we have received offers of support to help sustain the residential services, including some interest in carer jobs and offers of accommodation. We are also reviewing the staff rotas, remuneration and working arrangements and our health partners are offering resource. As a matter of urgency, we are following up on all of the expressions of interest we have received and hope that they contribute to stabilising the staffing issues within our residential and domiciliary care services.
We must make clear that the council cannot make any guarantees with respect to the future of Park House residential services. Staffing remains an issue and the safety of residents is our priority. We will continue to review the situation daily and will provide further updates should circumstances change.
