Further to our safety notice of 28 July 2022 about fallen debris from the old museum building, the Council's Operational Services team have now carried out an assessment and conducted remedial work to reduce the risk of more material coming loose.
A structural engineer is scheduled to review the building later in August and we will plan any further work based on this report.
In the meantime, the barriers around the pavements and road must remain in place as a precaution and we ask that you continue to avoid the area around the building.
