Winter Wellbeing Energy Switch Sessions

Energy efficiency and tariff-switching workshops on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th January at the Wellbeing Centre at Carn Gwaval.

As the rising cost of living continues to put pressure on household budgets, the Council of the Isles of Scilly is working in partnership with Cornwall Rural Community Council (CRCC) to offer free advice to help consumers save energy, cut their bills and access all of the support that they are entitled to.

Free and confidential advice is on offer to help people change energy suppliers, there will also be information on improving energy efficiency through loft and wall insulation and boiler/heating replacement schemes. As part of the Winter Wellbeing Programme there will also be general advice on keeping warm and healthy.

CRCC have been delivering workshops and one to one sessions across Cornwall for the past few months and have helped individuals save up to £700 on their energy bills. Vulnerable consumers are often the most disengaged from the energy market and can lack the confidence necessary to take action by switching tariffs and suppliers or accessing energy efficiency measures.

Independent support will be available through CRCC on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th January from the Wellbeing Centre at Carn Gwaval. Presentations will run for approximately 1 hour on Wednesday from 10:30am and on Thursday from 1:30pm. Private appointments are available from 11:45am on Wednesday and between 9:15am and 1:00pm on Thursday.

Feel free to attend a presentation or make an appointment for a private conversation. If possible, please bring a copy of your most recent electricity bill.
