Item for sale: Big Hanna Composter

The Council of the Isles of Scilly is selling a Big Hanna Composter (T240 model) designed to process organic waste. The item is being sold by sealed bid.

This item is sold as seen and it is anticipated that it will require substantial maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for a hotel, school, farm or estate to reduce food waste which would therefore reduce their commercial waste disposal costs and also fulfil their shared responsibility duties as waste producers as per the Waste Directive. 

This could also be an opportunity for a third party to offer a food waste service to other businesses while producing a useful by-product (compost).

In order to submit a bid, please print out the relevant form or pick up a hard copy from the One Stop Shop and fill in the details.

Once completed, please return the form to the Council in a securely sealed envelope addressed and labelled as follows:

Bids must be received by the Council by 5pm, Monday December 7th 2015.                  

Please note: A ‘reserve’ has been placed on these items, which means that if the highest bid is under the reserve, we will dispose of the item by an alternative route. Bidders will be informed of the outcome of the process within 2 working days of the closing date. Once the sale has been agreed, payment should be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit/debit card within 5 working days.
