Christmas and New Year Waste Collections 2015-16
Please find below your revised waste collection days during the festive period.
Collections will not be made on the days in the left-hand column, instead they will be made on the days to the right.

Please be aware that the Porthmellon Waste & Recycling Site will be closed on the following days during the period: 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th December and 1st January.
The site will be open for household waste & recycling on Thursday 31st December. The opening of the site on the 29th and 30th December will be for commercial disposal only.
Normal opening will resume from Monday 4th January.
Christmas Waste Reducing Tips
Christmas Tree Lights – if they’ve had their day, don’t bin them! Please recycle them at the Porthmellon Waste & Recycling Site.
Many children’s toys require batteries. Please dispose of them responsibly by recycling them at the nearest location.
Real Christmas Trees – once they’ve had their day please compost them at home. If you don’t have the space, please take them for recycling at the Porthmellon Waste & Recycling Centre.
Save money this year and only purchase foods you know you will eat, or that won’t perish quickly. If you have space perhaps consider creating your own compost bin.
After you have re-used any spare jars, please recycle them at your nearest community bring site. Food/drinks cans can also be recycled here.
